Our Doctor

A native Houstonian, Dr. Derek Le began practicing optometry in Katy and Sugarland 8 years ago. He received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2018, and before that, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology  from Texas A&M University. During his optometric training, Dr. Le spent a year in clinical rotations at the Oklahoma Cherokee Nation Medical Clinic in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, the South Texas Veterans Affairs Medical Center in San Antonio, and Hope Community Clinic in Houston. 

If you ask Dr. Le why he became an optometrist, he'll tell you that he is only in this position by the grace of God. Dr. Le has always had a strong desire to interact with and serve the people in his community.  Providing patients with the best possible vision care is an important way for him to reach out to those around him. The most important priority for Dr. Le is to love and care for each his patients; providing eye exams just happens to be his way of doing so. 

When he is not treating patients, Dr. Le spends most of his time with his wife and two daughters or serving at their local church.  Dr. Le is also an avid tennis player who is always looking for new players to rally with.
